Terms of Service
Draft — pending legal review. Version web-draft-1 · updated 29 October 2026. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. The Vietnamese version is the primary text.
1. About UniTalk
UniTalk is a language-speaking practice app: you are matched with another user learning the same language at a similar level for a 1:1 voice call, with no time limit, on a topic with suggested questions, and you can message friends. UniTalk is operated by an individual based in Japan (“we”). By creating an account and ticking the consent boxes in the app, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Rules.
2. Who can use UniTalk
- You must be 18 or over and confirm this when you create an account. Accounts that appear to belong to someone under 18 are suspended while we review them and may be closed.
- You may not use UniTalk if a previous account of yours was banned.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Apple, Google or email. Keep your account and device secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Your profile must be yours: do not impersonate anyone, and do not use offensive names or pictures.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app — see Delete your account.
4. How you use UniTalk
- Follow the Community Rules: be respectful; no harassment, sexual content, hate or spam; do not record or film others without their consent.
- Do not use UniTalk for commercial, advertising, fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
- Do not interfere with the system: no scanning, automation, bypassing limits or protections, or creating extra accounts to avoid blocks or bans.
5. Your content
Your profile, messages and reports remain yours. You allow us to store them, show them to the appropriate recipients and process them as needed to run UniTalk and keep the community safe (for example the word filter and report review), as described in the Privacy Policy. We may hide or remove content that breaks these terms or the community rules.
6. Moderation and enforcement
- You can block or report someone during a call, in messages or after a session.
- When rules are broken we may suspend the account for a period or ban it permanently. Suspension and ban both end any session in progress at once. While suspended (for up to 365 days) you cannot use the app; when banned you are signed out on every device.
- If you think a decision is wrong, write to support@unitalk.live and we will review it.
7. A free service, “as is”
UniTalk is currently free and has no in-app purchases. We work to keep it running well but do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or always find someone to match you with. We may change, pause or stop part or all of the service; before stopping it entirely we will give notice in the app or on this site.
Users are responsible for what they say and do. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what other users say or do, or for indirect loss arising from using UniTalk. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Ownership
UniTalk's name, logo, design, illustrations and topic questions belong to us. The Be Vietnam Pro font is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
9. Changes to these terms
When these terms change materially, we update the date at the top and ask you to accept them again in the app before you continue.
